"The psychic nature is the in-between stage of matter and spirit. When you begin meditation, seeking awareness and releasing inner powers, the psychic faculties will be the first to quicken. This happens before the spiritual faculties operate.

There are some who believe, wrongly in my view, that development of psychic faculties is a deterrent to development of the spiritual nature, that it is preferable to try and climb into the highest possible spiritual realm by oneself. This could be very difficult and sometimes fraught with danger."

Spirit Lights
A Path to Mediumship
by Pat Chalfant

Have You Ever Wondered?

How does a psychic differ from a medium?

Should I become a medium?

Can mediums prove life continues after death?

What was the origin of mediumship?

Spirit Lights a Path to Mediumship answers all these questions and more. [Read excerpts here]

It is, as the author says, an “autobiographical textbook.” It explains how, without meaning to, the author, a skeptic, developed mediumship.

It also contains wonderful true stories about her readings and classes where sometimes funny, but always inspiring things occur.

“…thank you for allowing me to ask questions about your book should I have any. It's a wonderful book so far and really quite amazing. I feel like my life already has taken a turn for the better!! --Jerika

The author, Pat Chalfant, a CARE-certified medium, has written a column on parapsychology and interviewed Hollywood stars and the psychics who read for them for a national newspaper.

Other topics she’s
taught and written about are: past life therapy, death and dying, the Edgar Cayce work, the Cathars, and Spiritual healing.
The Association for Past Life Research and Therapies newsletter published a series of her interviews with psychiatrists, psychologists, and hypnotherapists who were all west coast pioneers of past life therapy. Pat
believes that series is “destined” to become a book (she hopes to complete it this lifetime).

A singer/songwriter, three of her songs are in the National Spiritualist Association of Churches hymnal. She teaches internationally online and also hosts an online Spiritualist circle, Spirit Lights Chapel.

"Where you get the development of the psychic without the spiritual, there you have a low plane of vibration.

When you get a combination of both of these, you have not only a great medium, but a great man or woman."
